Internode

The space between the nodes on the stem.

Node

The the point of attachment for leaves, buds, roots. Helping the plant form such structures.

Leaf petiole

Thin stalks that attach the leaf blade to the stem at a node. helps support the leaf and orient it for light interception.

Bud

The primary growth point of the plant. There are two types of buds, Apical buds and Axillary buds.
