Abscisic acid

Abscisic acid is classified as a growth inhibitor and plays a crucial role in seed germination by preventing germination until the optimal conditions are present.
One of the functions of Abscisic acid is to respond to environmental stresses, such as drought and heat. It is also produced in the roots in response to a lack of water in the soil.
